To get the backside you have to grab the bottom of the blind and hold it away from the window and then reach behind the blind from the side. It helps if you have someone help you but it can be done by yourself. When you have completed this step you then have to turn the blinds to be closed but in the opposite direction and then perform the same procedure again. This gets the dust and dirt that was protected from the duster along the edge where the slats closed together. If you use this method you may want to clean them twice a year.
